A quartz floor is built a lot like a flake floor, but instead of vinyl chips, colored quartz sand is broadcast into the epoxy and then sealed with clear topcoats. The result is a solid-color, sandpaper-like texture that gives good grip underfoot, even when the floor is wet.

Quartz is a good fit where traction matters more than a showroom-smooth look: wet areas, ramps, entries, kitchens and work spaces. You can pick from our quartz sand colors, and the amount of texture can be tuned with the topcoat.

Quartz Epoxy Floors FAQ

What is the difference between quartz and flake?

Flake uses vinyl chips for a speckled, multi-color look. Quartz uses colored sand for a solid-color, more textured surface with more grip.

Is a quartz floor slippery when wet?

Quartz is one of the more slip-resistant coating options because of the sand texture. The final texture depends on how many topcoats go on, so tell us where the floor is and we will match the texture to the space.

How do I get a price?

Use the quick online quote on this page. Send your square footage and a few photos and we will reply with a written quote. No home visit needed.

Do you need to come out to price my floor?

No. No home visit is needed. We price your floor from the size, the floor condition and a few photos you text or upload.

Is there a minimum project size?

Yes. Most projects start at $1,500, metallic floors start at $2,500, concrete sealing projects start at $1,150, and LVP or laminate flooring (most rooms) starts at $2,000 installed. Smaller areas can often be added to a larger job.
